A wine in the image of Lionel Messi: improbable, demanding, universal.
The story begins long before football.
Lionel Messi’s great-grandfather was originally from the Marche region of Italy, before emigrating to Argentina. This deep European connection explains why Messi holds Italian nationality, alongside his Argentine roots.
As part of this project, Lionel Messi personally chose the styles of wines to be produced. His intention: to create a collection that reflects his life’s journey – between European heritage, Argentine culture, and an international career.
Switzerland became the obvious choice. Why?
- Because it is a country of excellence and precision, where every bottle is crafted with extreme care.
- Because it is a unique and rare terroir, where vines cling to steep, almost impossible landscapes. A challenge worthy of Messi’s path: succeeding where others give up.
- Because, like Messi himself, Switzerland embodies discretion, mastery, rigor, and durability.
Messi Wines is not simply an homage to his origins. It is a project conceived as a bridge between continents:
- Argentina, his roots.
- Italy, his ancestry.
- Switzerland, his standard of excellence.
