This old farm dating from the French Revolution was acquired in 2014 by Christophe LARDIÈRE, the vineyard manager of Château Valandraud, Saint Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé.
Planted in 2014, the old farm vineyard has reached its total surface in 2016. With his long experience in the vine management, Christophe LARDIÈRE has selected the best rootstocks according to the quality of the soil.
Before working with Jean-Luc THUNEVIN in 2001, Christophe LARDIÈRE was the General manager at Chateau Reysson (Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc) that belonged to a Japanese company for 10 years before. Therefore, Christophe LARDIÈRE would love Japanese consumers to enjoy his micro-cuvée wine.
As Christophe LARDIÈRE cares a lot about the respect of the environment and the nature, he took to heart the protection of the wooden park nearby the vineyard and its surprising fauna and flora biodiversity that allows the wine to get the label “Bee Friendly”.
